The MaxxECU GEN2 RACE is engineered for professional motorsport and high-performance builds which need uncompromising speed, control, and data precision. Built around an ultra-fast ARM dual-core processor and equipped with extensive input/output options, this flagship ECU delivers complete authority over even the most demanding engine configurations.
Designed for maximum compatibility, the GEN2 RACE supports all 1–12 cylinder engines, 2-stroke or 4-stroke, with up to 12 cylinders fully sequential or up to 12 cylinders in wasted spark, the GEN2 RACE provides exceptional flexibility, with ignition outputs capable of outputting +5v, +12v or GND signals and all 24 analog inputs having selectable pullup resistors and a lot more…
The ECU includes a robust selection of professional-grade inputs: 8 pulse inputs (VR/Hall) with selectable pullups and two channels offering 5/12V power supply, 24 analog inputs with selectable pullups, 8 built-in Type-K EGT inputs with 200 Hz sampling, integrated dual wideband controllers supporting LSU 4.2, 4.9, and 5.2, dual knock sensor inputs, a built-in user-serviceable 550 kPa/80 PSI MAP sensor, and an internal 8G accelerometer. All inputs are protected against over-voltage, reverse polarity, and short circuits for maximum reliability.
Output capability is extensive, including 16 injector/GP outputs (peak-hold, high or low impedance), 12 ignition/GP outputs with selectable +5V/12V/GND, 8 low-side GP outputs, 4 +12V GP outputs, and 4 H-bridge outputs ideal for electronic throttle control. This allows full control of advanced functions such as drive-by-wire and more!
Precision and processing power are central to the GEN2 RACE. It performs 3,000 fuel and ignition calculations per second, offers 0.1-degree ignition resolution, 0.001 ms injector resolution, 2000 Hz sampling on analog/digital inputs, and features 16 GB of onboard logging capable of recording all 1600+ channels at up to 1000 Hz, this allows it to log high speed data for extended periods of time. A huge upgrade over the previous generations 16Mb.
For communications and integration, the ECU provides dual CAN buses for OEM CAN, expansion modules, OBDII support, and CAN gearbox control. A USB-B 480 Mbit/s port enables high-speed tuning via MTune, while a USB-C port provides 12 Mbit/s tablet charging. WiFi connectivity is included for wireless MTune/MDash operation (WiFi and USB Port 2 not yet supported for communication).
Motorsport-ready construction includes a black powder-coated aluminum case, Superseal 1.0 connectors, a wide 6–22V operating voltage range, compact dimensions of 240 × 138 × 35 mm (including connectors), and a light weight of just 700 g.
The MaxxECU GEN2 RACE delivers industry-leading performance, advanced I/O capability, high-speed processing, and professional-grade data logging. It is built for serious tuners, racers, and engine developers who demand total control without compromise.
