MaxxECU Controlled 4 Pin Relay

There are two ways to trigger a relay with your MaxxECU.

Option 1) Triggering via a GPO which switches to GND.

In the below diagram, you can see, Pin 30 and 86 have both been connected to the same 12v source, and Pin 85 connects to the ECU which grounds the coil inside the relay causing it to switch and send power to Pin 87

Also note, if you have ran out of GPOs, you could also use any spare Injector Outputs as they also switch to ground.

Option 2) Triggering via a 12v GPO

Some MaxxECUs come equiped with GPO’s that are capable of outputting 12v. In this case, you can use the 12v to trigger the positive side of the coil on the relay.

Important: Do not connect the 12v GPO to Pin 30 (The Relay Supply), it is not capable of high current draw items and will fry the ECU.
